ECONCLAVE 2025 Sparks Intellectual Dialogue at Dyal Singh College


ECONCLAVE 2025 organized by the Economics Association of Dyal Singh College on March 25th and 26th, brought together policymakers, academicians, and students for two days of insightful discussions, competitions, and cultural events.


The conclave opened with a innagral address by our chief guest Dr. Shamika Ravi, Member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, on “Bharat@2047: Vision for India’s Economic Future.” She emphasized fiscal discipline, technological advancements, and civic responsibility, stating, “The onus lies on today’s youth to catalyze this transformation through innovation, civic responsibility, and inclusive growth.”

         


The second day featured thought-provoking sessions by Prof. Biswajit Nag, who analyzed Neomercantilism and Trump’s Trade Policies; Ms. Rashmi Samant, who discussed the Impact of Global Narratives on the Indian Economy; Ambassador Deepak Vohra, who spoke on The Jaamvant Effect – How India Becomes Bharat; and Ms. Manjari Jaruhar, who delivered an inspiring talk on Turning Challenges into Opportunities before presenting awards to winners of the conclave’s six flagship competitions.The event featured l Arthtantra (economic problem-solving),Rajaneeti (policy and governance), Drishya (photography exhibition), JAM 4.0 (talent hunt), Mavericks (business and finance challenge), and Anveshan (academic research competition).

Sponsored by IAS Gaon, Union Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, and the Puruskar Foundation, the conclave was conducted under the guidance of Prof. V.K. Paliwal (Principal, Dyal Singh College), Dr. Sanjay Kumar (Teacher-in-Charge, Department of Economics), Mr.Madhurendra Singh (Program Coordinator), and Mr. Anil Kumar (Teacher Coordinator).
