Four members of the Prime Minister's new Economic Advisory Council are from the DU DSE family
New Delhi, June 11.
Four members of University of Delhi (DU) and Delhi School of Economics (DSE) have got the place in the new Economic Advisory Council (EAC-PM) of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
DU Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh expressed happiness over this and said that this is a proud moment for DU and DSE. The Vice Chancellor said that these eminent economists will make an important contribution in the formulation of the country's economic policies. He said that these four members of the DU DSE family have vast and diverse knowledge of the Indian economy.
Prof. Ram Singh, Director of Delhi School of Economics and Delhi School of Public Policy & Governance, said that the Chairman of the Prime Minister's new Economic Advisory Council (EAC-PM) Professor S. Mahendra Dev is an alumnus of DU DSE. Along with him, former Director of DSE Professor Pami Dua has also been appointed as a member of EAC-PM. DSE alumnus Dr. Shamika Ravi has been appointed as the full-time member of EAC-PM and DSE alumnus Professor Chetan Ghate also has been appointed as the member of EAC-PM.
For this, he thanked DU Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh and said that his continued support and guidance remains for our new initiatives and activities.
