In his address, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that DU has a history that whenever any new thing is conceived in the country, it either originates from DU campus or DU is at the forefront in its implementation. He said that after independence, till the 60s, simultaneous elections were held in India. This schedule has been disrupted for the last 50 years. Frequent elections lead to loss of time and revenue. This is not good for the progress of the country. Therefore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for 'One Nation One Election', the Lok Sabha adopted a resolution on it and stakeholders were consulted on it under the leadership of former President of Bharat Shri Ram Nath Kovind. Now the country has taken it as a mass movement. Dharmendra Pradhan said that the 'One Nation One Election' race is not just a race, but it is a race to make Bharat the strongest country in the world by 2047.

On this occasion, Chief Minister of Delhi Mrs. Rekha Gupta said that today we have gathered in this campus of DU for the 'One Nation One Election' race, so this is also our responsibility towards the country. For this, we all have come here on one platform today. She said that due to repeated elections, thousands of crores of rupees are spent every year. Development work is affected due to repeated imposition of code of conduct. At the beginning of the program, DU Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh welcomed all the guests on coming to DU. The Vice Chancellor said that DU is playing an important role in the 'One Nation One Election' program. This is the third program of the month of April being organized in DU on this subject.
