22 February 1958, death anniversary of the first education minister of independent India.
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a well known name in the history of modern India, he was a freedom fighter, a good orator, a thinker, a brilliant writer and a scholar of many languages and subjects. A genius whose thought was beyond his time, an honest and humble man. Despite all of this, he was also one of the most victimized person of his age. Though the knowledge excels the caravan of mankind to its zenith but it is the fate of learned persons who always face the poor attitude and bad behaviour of the society, an irony of the human history. And Maulana Azad was also one of them, his fellows among his political gatherings called him a "Show boy", a derogatory remark but he neither distracted from his path nor showed his reaction to any of them. In short, he was truly an exceptional personality, such a learned person born on earth occasionally.
