Delhi School of Journalism Organizes a training session

The Delhi School of Journalism, University of Delhi organized a training session on FactShala, Indian Media Literacy Network, developed by Data Leads in collaboration with Google News Initiative on March 19, 2025. The session aimed to enhance participants understanding of misinformation and the importance of fact-checking in the digital age. 

                       



Dr. Tilak Jha, a media literacy trainer from the FactShala University Network, conducted the session. This Factshala workshop was presided over by Prof. Bharati B. Gore, Honorary director of Delhi School of Journalism, University of Delhi. The session was convened by Dr. Prriyanka Sachdeva, who played a key role in organizing the workshop. Dr. Tilak Jha highlighted key aspects of fact-checking, the spread of misinformation in the media, and the critical need to verify information before believing or sharing it. He also equipped participants with several reliable fact-checking websites

The workshop proved to be highly engaging and informative, with Dr. Tilak Jha’s insightful speech capturing the attention of students and faculty alike. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, where enthusiastic students posed various questions, reflecting their keen interest in media literacy.
